Picasso – were my eyes deceiving me!
Mar 7th, 2009 by Nick

Go and see Picasso at the National Gallery if don’t mind your eyes and perception being damaged. This show probably not as big as the similar one in Paris which I thought also showed some of the Old Masters that Picasso measured himself against.

If you think you know Picasso you probably don’t until you go to the National Gallery. You might not like everything but will still find something worth seeing. The disjointed red Musketeer with his proud air but odd appearance is a good example. If you get a chance go to the Picasso Museum in Paris.

Darwin, Natural History Museum
Feb 15th, 2009 by Nick

Only the fittest will survive if you visit the Natural History Museum at the weekend for the Darwin exhibition. It was very busy.

How busy?

How busy?

The exhibition itself is rather good. Just enough detail for all ages on Darwin, his travels, research and theory.

There is also more about him as a family man. Well worth a visit despite the crowds.

Watch out for the two live items – Charlie the iguana and the horned frog soaking itself in a pool of water.
